Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford has been awarded an MBE for services to vulnerable children in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.
Unbelievable, what an achievement for this incredible young man.

Well deserved. A footballer who actually put time and effort into achieving something for those in less privileged positions.

I'm delighted he's been recognised but I think the honours system is quite outdated in these modern times.

It doesn't matter what the rivalry is, at the end of the day, it's only football, although it means so much to us. Life is more important than anything. Some people in previliged positions stand up for people who aren't. Rashford is one of them. A great guy.
I think he's underrated by United fans too, in relation to his footballing ability. I'd love a top attacker to come through at Liverpool. Essentially he's their TAA.
But we love to make scapegoats in this day and age. Young players are the easy target. I'd have loved to have seen what we'd have said about Gerrard in his early days. I bet there would have been a load of people scapegoating him, early on.

A good lad and thoroughly deserved.

Super, and it reflects well on him. I dare say there are other young lads in football who do good things but play for a less famous club.
But well done Marcus.

Youngsters of today are often vilified but what a shining light Marcus is. Kids should forget reality stars and look no further than Marcus for a role model.
