Its funny how a few good games, a little bit more confidence and style, and a bit more hope optimism can do for people.
If you go back a few weeks to the off season then there were plenty of unanswered question and lots of issues that needed addressing.
Issues such as:
- When is Levy going to back the manager and spend some money
- We need a new DM,
- NDombele needs shifting out of the club
- Lamela is a wage thief who adds nothing but roll-overs
- Aurier is a disgrace and should never wear the shirt again
- The team lack creativity and style
- We are terrible to watch
- The manager is a dinosaur as are his tactics.
Now now we look at the situation and think:
- Levy has addressed the majority of the main areas of concern in the squad and not only with expensive promise but with actual proven players
- Jose finally seems to have got his message across about winning mentality and confidence. There is an identity appearing
- The style and entertainment has improved and the goals are flying in - 20 already this season
- Aurier actually looks like a very good second option at RB
- Lamela suddenly seems like the senior player he is and playing a vital role
- It has suddenly clicked with Ndombele. He's parked his ego and rolled his sleeves up.
- We have back up striker Feck me!!! We have a backup striker. My mind is blown!
- We have Bale
Suddenly all is forgiven. The squad looks balanced and strong and full of options. Results are picking up and there is genuine hope that Jose does was Jose does and wins a trophy, and may be with a bit of style and a bag load of goals too. Levy seems to have taken leave of his senses.
There are few excuses we can give if we fail to achieve something this season, except if the cruel hand of fate fecks us over again - Cue Kane picking up a season-ending injury for Eng tomorrow vs some Scandinavian plodders.

Is Bale fit?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, he had his ears pinned back and he’s got lovely long hair now. Well fit

It's not just me then.

Going go do WHU by 4 goals

WHU in beating Leicester, a very proficient counter attacking team, really did sit back in numbers and counter effectively themselves, especially with Antonio being a battering ram.
The challenge will be two-fold. Breaking down their numbers and nullifying their counter attack.
I can see a frustrating afternoon with Spurs grabbing a late winner from sub Vinicius rising above his marker to head in a beautiful cross from Bale

Although West Ham have typically hit form just as they play Spurs, and it is their Cup Final, I expect Spurs to win the game with a bit to spare. All over the pitch they are better. Keep Antonio quiet, and the rest should take care of itself.

People laughed at me when I said we should go for Antonio as a back-up to Kane. Whether we'd be able to get the deal done is another thing (and unlikely) but people saying how sheet he was. How the turntables.

Fail to beat the Scammers and people will be saying the same all over again, such is the fickle nature of most football fans

Great article, 5* from me.
Things are definitely looking so much better than they were at the end of last season.
I'm semi-hopeful we'll finally get over the line and win a trophy this season. Even the League Cup would be great.

It's crazy what a difference a week makes!
After the Newcastle result I'm sure we were all pretty downhearted with firstly not putting them away and secondly conceding a 'Spursy' goal at the end... with no thanks to VAR.
I think the penalty win v Chelsea was huge for team spirit.
Following that up with Europa League qualification and the most one sided dominance v United is great!
It's a shame we've had the international break, but I'm sure Jose will have the team up for West Ham.
Bale + NEW STRIKER still to come in too

I just love a sense of optimism in the Spurs camp...
