Ian Wright just summed up perfectly how poorly VAR is being used.
Basically he questioned how the officials were unable to use VAR to give a blatant red to Pickford, yet the same officials used it to decide Mane was offside.
There had been an improvement with refs going to the sidelines to check their decisions this season, which makes today’s decision even more baffling.
The two extremes of VAR

Oh my God, Liverpool for once get VAR go against them and they can't stop furrrking crying. Where was the outrage when Chelsea were robbed at Stamford Bridge vs United last season? Or when Liverpool robbed Wolves last season.

Maybe Chelsea and Wolves should have asked for an explanation of the decisions.

I mean, sure? If they felt the decisions needed further explanation then I would expect them to. Do you not give/get given feedback in your job?

VAR look at everything. They sit there watching the game, and have access to replays of everything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Debatable
Apparently David Coote (the suspected manc) was so focussed on looking at whether or not VVD was offside he neglected to even look at the deliberate assault by Pickford
You seem to think VAR is some sort of fancy AI - it's not - it's a bloke sat in front of a fuсking computer

No, I think it is two blokes watching TVs who would have seen the Pickford/VvD incident.

So you agree that it should have been looked at, but they didn't bother

No, I am sure they saw it. They just didn't think it was worthy of a red card over-rule of the ref.

So it's Dave Coote who's not up to the job
Not exactly the first time he's been embroiled in controversy
