I personally feel we should have a settled 1st choice center back pairing and stick with it. Available to us we have Silva, Zouma, Christensen, Tomori and Rudiger and unfortunately Five into two doesn’t go.
So going forward, who do you think should be the 1st choice pair?
I’m personally undecided mainly because I don’t know if Silva, having spent the last 8 years playing in the French league, is going to cope with the more robust nature of the PL in his mid 30s.
The one I would like to see in, is Tomori, over Zouma and AC, mainly because I think they should be approaching their best by now but show no sign of being the players I’d hoped they would be. Tomori, on the other hand has still plenty of potential to grow as a player.
That leaves Rudiger who I’m not overly convinced by either.
If pushed I think I’d prefer to see Tomori and one of Rudi or Silva. In the longer term we also have Sarr and Guehi who could stake a claim.
Either way I personally think Zouma and AC should be moved on.

Well the least he could do is make sure his passes get to their intended destination.
He can't blame Kepa for his inadequacies!

We'll have to agree to disagree on that Nick. As soon as it happened I knew we were in trouble irrespective of who was in goal.

Agree with you again, SWTN. It was a poor backpass, but Kepawas first to the ball. He could have just smashed it out of play.

Zouma + Silva is the CB pairing I'd stick with. Zouma has comfortably been our best CB since Frank took over. One feck up shouldn't mean he's out of the team. That mistake he made wouldn't have been a mistake if we had a half decent keeper in goal. Just look at the link Cmf posted on his article. Disgrace.
