Harping back to yesterday`s draw

with West Ham after being 3-0 up, fortunately it only happens once every 15 years or so you get a comeback like that against Spurs, so not likely to be happening again anytime soon. So I think we can all relax a bit next time Spurs are three goals up. In my lifetime I can only remember four times, all games I attended at WHL where Spurs went in at half-time three or more goals to the good, and did not win the game.

1960/61 Burnley 4-0 H/T 4-4 F/T

1965-66 Aston Villa 4-1 H/T (5-1 five minutes into the 2nd half) 5-5 F/T

2001-02 Man United 3-0 H/T 3-5 F/T

2004-05 Man City 3-0 H/T 3-4 F/T

I have put a clip of the Spurs v Burnley 4-4 from 1960/61, if you are eagle eyed you will see me in the corner of Park Lane, just where John White is taking the corner.

So not bad, just four times in 60 years, where Spurs have thrown away a three goal lead or more. There may have been others if anybody can jog my memory. Home or away.

Translation, I've spent most of the day on Wikipedia researching this because I have a weird desire to play act as the knowledgeable elder on a football forum.

Shut up you fool.

Took the words out of my mouth. What a pra*t.?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Complete idiot. WTF would I lie about being at a game. He is to stupid to know that not everyone lies like he probably does.

I really despise posters that come on the board, and think they know me, and make cheap shots to get a few likes.

Sandy can talk a load of old cobblers at times, but a liar he is not.

Well seeing as I have met posters of the Spurs board down at WHL, who can verify my age makes you look a bit of a dipstick.

I can verify that Sandy, we met up earlier this year when the new ground opened.

One of the reasons I only come on here occasionally is because of the standard of posters, which is in rapid decline in my opinion.

Time for old Baldy to go back in for Dybala....

"Argentina forward Paulo Dybala was involved in a tunnel row with Juventus' chief football officer Fabio Paratici after being left out of the starting line-up on Saturday"

If we can't improve our CB setup with real talent like Upamecano, then at least we can get some real attacking talent to keep the ball out of our half altogether!

Morning Genius, how you doing? I agree mate, the standard of poster is rapidly going downhill. Very little chatting about actual football, a lot just prefer to post about me. They do seem to have a very unhealthy obsession with me. One, who I shall not name, even suggested they would hope I die. I mean how low can you get. I shall not name him, but he is a regular poster on the Spurs board.

I think the reason why this one stands out more from the others you mention is that this was 3 goals up with 8 minutes to play.
When that Lanzini strike hit the top corner it was easily one of the worst moments of my spurs supporting life (35ish years)
The boys at the back need to hang their heads in shame... I include the ball-watching Lucas Moura when the 2nd goal went in.... he just let their right back in on a very easy/defendable overlap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is why I believe Lamela should have at least be on the bench. Moura and Stevie are similar players.
Lamela would of offered something differenr and is ver good defensively

I wasn`t for Lamela starting, because I feel he is getting very close to getting a Red Card, but of fthe bench with 20 minutes to go, he would have been ideal. He puts himself about, and that was what was needed last 10 minutes, somebody to disrupt the flow of play a bit.
