Lots of plaudits for axel last night but De Gea really is playing himself back into form.
hasnt really put a foot wrong this season off the top of my head ( despite the goals conceded) but against newcastle and yesterday he pulled off some very good saves at crucial times.
having henderson breathing down his neck will no doubt be spurring him on, but as the old saying goes, form is temporary class is permanent

To be fair to him he’s stepped it up after a poor season last year. As you say, perhaps the Henderson effect has come into play.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. If De Gea can return to his best he may have another 5-10 years in him.
Can’t see Hendo waiting around. There will be a big decision to make.

Some cracking saves but his distribution was poor mostly and there were a few times I thought he should have come off his line but didn’t.
They are minor gripes but ones that have always been there with me.
