Winning breeds success and a winning mentality. Mentally, United did finish above City last season.

I think it's OK to have reservations though. I even had them about SAF at times.

That is some impressive spin though I must say. I could quite easily add:

Bully PSG twice? And yet they reach the CL Final in that period.

Beat Pep X3? Still didn't finish above City and still lost the game which was a pathway for a trophy for City.

Beat Chelsea X3? Yes, and two of those vital wins to help finish in top 3. We still disappointed in the FA Cup against them though.

Outplay Klopp X2? I don't think this happened. We competed well yes but outplay? No.

2 places away from league champions? Do you mean 3rd?

3 games away from domestic treble?? Not able to finish the job when it matters.

Dunc. I'm not anti-Ole at all but I wanted to bring some realism to Culer's comments as well. Let's hope we can get these results on a more consistent basis against all manner of teams.
