Not sure the OP was being serious, to be fair ... unless Call Sign is actually Greg Taylor.

Actually think Elhamed has been our biggest miss. I'm old-fashioned, in that I like my defenders to actually be able to DEFEND first and foremost. No way is Frimpong an orthodox RB in a back 4, much as I like the wee guy.

Frimpong is a funny wee player.

Looks rapid and quite tricky going forward. But in the few games I have seen him play he also looks defensively very lightweight, his final ball isnt brilliant and his positioning for a RB is questionable.

Might just be an age thing with him but I am not sure he is really cut out to be a RB long term?

Not sure that corners will be cut as opposed to far more people spending far more time on it.

I don’t think any government would dare take the risk of rolling out a nationwide vaccine that could potentially lead to unknown side affects in as much as they would normally. They’d wait to get it right.

My thoughts anyway.

Thats my point - there are certain aspects of a clinical trial you can speed up by throwing resource at.

There are others that you cant.

Namely the medium to long term health effects on humans of ingesting or injecting active pharmaceuticals.

I will be very interested to see how they get round that and guarantee patient safety.

From a pharma manufacturing point of view longer term things like stability can be accelerated to some degree.

I dont understand how you can accelerate medium to long term safety studies.

The reality is that if we get a vaccine in the first half of 2021 then these studies will actually still be going on after the vaccine has already been administered.

As is the case with every other pharmaceutical product brought to market. It’s called ‘Phase iv’ trials.

But every other pharmaceutical brought to market will have a thorough short to medium term safety profile generated through phase 3 trials lasting between 1 and 3 years. Phase 4 builds on the Phase 3 work post approval for longer term safety profiling.

But even accelerating phases 1 and 2 as much as possible they will realistically need to complete Phase 3 trials in between 3 and 6 months to get a vaccine out end of the year/start of next year.

That is a pretty significant reduction in the timeline.

Drastic diseases require drastic remedies so the fast track route is the best way to go and will have had many many safety checks in built to it. Gets my vote

Fair points Dave. 😉...yes Elhamed over Frimpong in big games with the wee man coming on as an impact player when opposing defences tiring! Frimpong ,it is an age and experience thing....he will undoubtedly be some player in the near future! Hopefully all our guys missing back soon inc. Forrest who ways in with hefty goals/assists contribution plus Eddy on song and interested please 👍

Agree with all of that. We have a very big squad of capable players who are not playing to their potential. Plus playing Broonie and Duffy handicaps us before a ball is kicked. Lenny needs to sort it out ASAP or his jacket will fall off It’s shakey peg.
