Terrible game and a worrying performance to be honest. Very fortunate not to have gone behind, then it would have been a different situation.

However, if we win then I can’t complain

I’m trying really hard to like Jose, but that starting line up was ridiculous and we are as much to blame for the complete lack of entertainment as Burnley are.

I don’t know if you’ll win the league - though with the manager and players you have it’s far from impossible

The game with Burnley was impressive. Not the actual performance but more that you could say you didn’t deserve to win and still won anyway. You actually won back some of the points you lost in the Newcastle and West Ham games.

That’s how you win titles. Getting over disappointments where you did deserve to win games by putting in a gloriously ugly performance and still getting the 3 points.

As someone on another site said after the game - had you won the Burnley game 5-1 it wouldn’t have taught you anything about this Spurs side. That kind of performance is in the team. Until the Burnley game people wondered if an ugly 1-0 was inside the ‘mentality’ of the players and it was. Winning trophies is as much about last ditch clearances and being patient enough to win ugly games as it is about pasting teams.

We didn’t concede many chances against Burnley either, yes they got close but it was because it was a really good header not because we conceded a high quality chance

For anyone complaining, did anyone see the absolute classic served up in the Man Utd vs Chelsea goalless draw?

Or what about Arsenal’s swashbuckling performance in the 0-1 defeat vs Leicester?

Maybe Liverpool’s 2-1 mauling of Sheff Utd is what they’re all after?

We’re the top goalscorers in the league, with the best GD - there’s absolutely nothing to complain about right now and all teams can serve up drab performances - however unlike Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal, ours resulted in a win.
