Are we ever gonna see it?
I kind of understand why Sissoko was required against Burnley. But if it doesn't happen at home v Brighton, will it ever?

Brighton are not mugs and actually should have won the games they played, including the farcical United game.
If we think like some folks here who say "against teams like Brighton" if we underestimate them, we will be in trouble.
We need to respect the teams we play and not just go gung-ho, a la FIFA2020.
I am sure Jose has learnt that by now, and I expect us to be a bit more respectful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But it's not gung-ho. The idea in playing GLC and Ndombele with PEH behind is that they are all good at retaining the ball.
The other team can't score when they are not in possession of the football.

I think if we do see it it will only be against low level opposition or if Davies and Doherty come in for Reguillon and Aurier. If he has enough defensive cover, I think it's fine. You just can't have Toby and Dier as the only protection against any opposition when we turnover possession. Regs and Aurier would play too high to cover the lack of defensive options in midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, fair enough.
I just want to see it. That's all.
GLC and Ndombele are too good to be sitting on the bench.

Brighton are OK, but let's not be bigging them up, they have just failed to beat West Brom at home. Spurs will have far to much going forward.

I agree with the OP, at home Spurs should really be going out all guns blazing. Did that against West Ham, then for some reason just took the foot of the peddle.

I actually think that LoCelso has the defensive instincts to make this work. He is not too bad positionally and you can trust him with the ball.
That said, we need to respect our players like Sissoko as they provide us with the platform to build upon. They enable us to transition from defense to attack and provide the defensive foundation for players like Son, Ndombele and Kane to work from.
I'll quote my football coach from when I was a teenager...
"First thing you do on the pitch!? Win your battles!!!"
Sissoko does this!

Have we just agreed on something, Sandy?

That what we all thought before Spurs played them at the Amex where not we lost 3-0 but also the captain went down with injury
We have the firepower to do them but we are also very capable to go all wobbly from set-pieces and gift them goals.
What we don't want is trying this all out approach, go 2-3 goals ahead, and then forget to defend and commit fouls as we become desperate and they nick the points in injury time

Spurs and Jose have beaten Brighton since that disastrous 3-0, so expect the same again.

When Spurs played them at the Amex and lost 3-0, they were in dire form, and had just been beaten by Colchester. Spurs are in their best form for two or three seasons, so should win comfortably.
