Where is the heat for Luke Shaw?

People talk about Pogba not trying or not caring...

Watch the penalty mistake again: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54774068

Luke Shaw showed now determination or desire to close his man down.

As a result, a leggy Pogba makes a last ditch attempt to play the ball and catches the man.

Let's remember who is playing in their preferred positions here. Pogba shouldn't even be asked to be in those areas. However, he showed more determination to get to the ball and stop the danger than Luke Shaw.

Why are people never questioning Luke Shaw's determination and professionalism?

Aside from him being out of shape for half his time as a united player.. He often looks like the laziest player on the pitch and probably is the biggest liability in the team but you don't see any articles about it week in week out.

This is a senior player on £195,000 per week but is protected like a young academy player.

Again you are counting assists which in my view aren't worth the paper they are written on. You get an assist for passing it a yard for a player to then hit a 30 yard screamer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
true, but over a large enough sample size - and 26 in 114 games should be large enough - the give a rough idea of the usefulness of a player in creating goals.

and of course the opposite is true - you can ping a 40 yard pass to tee up a striker who then fluffs his lines. there used to be a nice video on youtube of 50 assists pogba could have had, but it seems to have been taken down.

it's not a perfect stat, of course, but it has its uses.

why don't you tell me what my views are on him then.

because your view seems to be that he is utter sh!te, and has never done a single thing for united, which is moronic - and that's being kind. as for the idea that his gait implies that he thinks he is the best player in the world, i wouldn't even be that generous to the stupidity of your opinion.

Bruno has, been here for 9 months and got us CL football. Pogba has been here 4 yrs and i could count his good games against top opposition on one hand. Bruno is far far more valuable and influential than Pogba. Its not even close
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and pogba's won 3 trophies at united, including a european one. so i guess the answer to my question is that bruno has had no "grab the game by the scruff of the neck" games against big teams? and out of interest, how many games has matic grabbed by the scruff of the neck? mctominay? herrera? that's the kind of woolly phrase, that can't be backed by any stats at all, that you can just pull out of your @rse to praise one random player whilst disparaging another.

bet you any amount of money you want that in 3 years pogba is at a bigger and better club than bruno.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Errr because he is 'supposedly' our best player according to many. He is our highest earning outfield player, he is our biggest transfer ever. Why wouldn't we expect more from him than we would Matic, McTominay etc. And all the while he has, been putting in sheite performance after sheite performance he is flirting with other clubs.
Bruno was the big difference between us finishing 5th and us finishing 3rd. Not Pogba

Pogba will instantly be at a bigger club than united when he leaves because we are mid table club without an ambitions to win anything and haven’t been a contender for near a decade now.

And the most stupid comment of the article goes to you lad. Well done
