US Election - Live

It’s the USA Election tonight!

Who will be watching the news throughout the night? Who’s staying up late? Who’s waking up early?

Are you a Trump fan? Are you a Biden fan? Maybe Kanye or the Libertarian Party are your favourites? Maybe I’m an idiot for including them lol.

Biden leads in the polls and is expected to win but the same was the case for Clinton in 2016!

Post your predictions here for who will win. Post your predictions for the days ahead and what a leadership under Biden or Trump will look like.

Please post any news you hear including the source here too!

I never realised until the last couple of days but I have quite a few American friends. A couple are Trump supporters and they seem to have an illogical fear of the Democratic party.

One has been writing to me every day for 3 days telling me I should spread the word that Trump has won a landslide and that Biden supporters are stuffing the ballots, reprogramming counting systems and counting Trump's votes for him. Some of the allegations are just funny - apparently she is claiming a 125% turnout in some areas (waiting for her to tell me that Elvis voted Democrat!!!). She's even insisting that this will end in civil war.

My democrat friends are just happy to be seeing the back of Trump. As you can imagine, he's not the most popular among them.

Trump basically scraped a win last election, losing the popular vote, so it is not out of the realms of probability that he loses by a small amount this time.

My point is that the USA is deeply divided, and more so after 4 years of Trump. I personally dislike him and find him divisive. But the fervour shown by much of his support and the inability to accept defeat is extremely unhealthy and worrying.

I wonder if we have the same friends. I've got a friend who lives in Rolling Hills and she's also trying to convince me of much the same ... word for word ... landslide win, computer system manipulation, civil war and 100+% turnouts in some areas. And she's also telling me to tell everybody. Irrational?

Quite, both sides are guilty of bringing the election process into disrepute

They havent added the mail votes rcvd after Nov 3, they have been set aside, so the counts as they stand r as good as they will get 4 Trump.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not correct - and I repeat I've already said that I think Trump legitimately lost.

I think it s correct.
Business Insider stated that even if the set aside votes are counted and all go in Trumps way, it would not b enuff 2 change the result.

Trump has 70 odd days to exact revenge on the country. There could be some "interesting" policy and hateful outbursts coming. His Twitter account is always worth a laugh or a cringe.

would be fantastic to see Trumps reaction if Biden won Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan
