Season ticking along nicely now for Spurs

Massive difference from 12 months back, when their was only doom and gloom surrounding the club. Professional job done last night.

3rd in the Prem
Top of their Group in Europa
QF of the League Cup
FA Cup to come

Four pronged attack on all those difference competitions. Jose has certainly brought a winners mentality to the club. Not content with just going for a top four spot, I suspect he will be not only be targeting cup competitions, but also the Prem Title.

Harry not only banging them in for fun, but also assisting as well. 12 goals 10 assists for the season. Easily the best of any player in the Prem. Also he has now hit the 200 club, amazingly 100 goals have come away from home. Absolutely top draw. I have no doubt he will go close to breaking lots of goalscoring records (although Jimmy will still be my all time favourite).

Keep Kane fit for the season and who knows how many trophies Spurs will win this year and in the future. On to West Brom now, and hopefully another away win, and another three points to keep the pressure up at the top of the table.

You can congratulate performances but its far too early to congratulate any form of achievement with his team.

We have had a kind start to the season. November and December fixtures will let u know exactly how far we have progressed.

I don't get it when our fans dismiss our promising start to the season by constantly referring to trophies. As far as I am aware, no team can win a trophy between the start of the season and now. Unless I'm missing something?

It is quite reasonable to say that we have had a promising start, because we have. Let's see where this brings us come the end of the season, but right now things are positive.

Upcoming games:

Man City
Chelsea(a)
Arsenal
Palace(a)
Liverpool (a)
Leicester
Wolves (a)

A truly tough run. Perfomances count for nothing. Points count.

If we took 12 from this 7 games that would be reasonable, anything more very decent. It tough to judge in this era of no fans, but really if we avoid defeat against all our rivals here (6) and beat Palace, then i'd say that 9 points would also be ok, but really we should be expecting to beat a couple of them, esp. at home.

Spurs picked up 13 polints from those games last season, so match that and it would be fine. I personally expect to up their game and grab at least one win at Liverpool or Stamford Bridge. If you want to win titles, those are the games you need to win.

I wouldn`t go that far, but he does seem to be more pro active when Spurs lose.

Oh 100% positive. The start is good and I’m happy, but these group of players constantly bottle it and let us down in the trophy department. Until we get the monkey off our backs and start picking up silverware, we will always be pessimistic

Sandy if you come back and write this on 19th December evening I’ll be happy enough,. Our run of PL fixtures between now and then includes a very tough set against top 6 teams week after week with Europa in-between If we come through ok, then happy days and we’ll look forward to a good season.

👍

Yes, I’m more angry when we are losing and like to vent.

If we are still in the top 3 after the next 7 games, I will give Jose plenty of credit.

Sandy...put up a list of the teams we've played so far...
I think you'll see its far less impressive than the list of teams coming down the pike.
Yes we're doing well.....against lesser opposition.

Lot of talk about our up coming fixtures, but those games do work both ways.

Do you think Arsenal, Chelsea etc are looking forward to playing us. No, they are also seeing them as hard, crucial games, they they in turn don't want to / can't afford to loose either.

Not to mention every team has to play these games at some point anyway. Why not now when we have a fit squad, who are in good form. We all know from last year that, in a couple of months time we could have key injuries, like Kane and Son both out.

I think we should be looking at these games as opportunities to push rivals down the league, rather than assume we will come out the other end in a worse position.
