Bolton Wanderers v Crewe Alexandra

The magic of the cup arrives at an empty unibol today as crewe make their 2nd visit of the season to Bolton. Crewe won 3-2 in the efl trophy earlier in the season and coming from a higher division will present tough opposition. As Bolton fans are have only just become used to entering the cup at this stage and we want to go at least a round later than last season where Bolton were beaten by Plymouth in the first round. Team news. A full strength side promised by ian evatt. This won't include harry brockbank injured against Mansfield or doyle who is being held back for next Friday against Salford. Isgrove and Miller likely to be on the bench today. One likely change Hickman for Kioso who I don't expect luton will allow him to play. Possible starts for players like comley, tutte, greenidge, Taft who haven't played much recently. No replays in the cup this season. If it's a draw at full time then its extra time and penalties so extra value for your ifollow tenner if it does. Also an extra sub allowed in extra time so surely a sub keeper is a must today?

Hope we get the sky commentary team instead of those clowns on Bolton fm. In fact you get a better deal if you haven't got a season ticket. Get a full day of sky sports on now tv for a tenner.

Friday 13th brings back memories of a trip to Asda many years ago. I was with a friend who needed some paint. It fell in a winter month that year so everyone was wearing winter clothing. My friend gave me the tin of white paint and as I was bored I started throwing the tin in the air and catching it. As you may guess, I dropped the tin and as it fell onto the floor the lid came off and the paint spread over the floor in front of me. Unfortunately, there was an old lady in front of us and the paint quickly spread in front of her and she slipped on the paint and was completely lying, turtle-like, on her back. She had a dark brown long coat on and a brown woollen hat. We picked her up and despite the problem, we couldn't help but laugh. She had a white covering of pain from her hat to the bottom of her brown calf-length boots and looked like a penguin from the back.

Fortunately was a very nice lady and saw the funny side of it. We summoned an assistant who brought some cloths and a bottle of turps and started to remove the paint as best we could.

The moral of the story is, don't go to Asda tomorrow but if you must, do not purchase any paint.

With Doyle due back tomorrow what's all the talk in the Ben of a strike partnership it got me scratching my head thinking of when we last had what you would call a striker partnership up front I think flares were in fashion back then.

Blake and mcginley the last genuine strike partnership I can remember. Since then it's been 1 or 3 up top.
