We were promoted with a squad costing around £40m
Man Utd squad cost 650m for example.

Unfortunately it’s a sad reflection on the game when a chasm like this has developed and turned football like formula 1

wow. this is short sighted.

You get promoted and consolidate your EPL status and build from there. Of course you are not going to compete with the top teams or even the Southamptons of this league straightaway. Patience. Any newly promoted team should be content with survival.

It was an utterly embarrassing decision to call him offside. I hope those making the rules take a good look at this stuff. VAR is a waste and being made a mockery by stuff like that.

I was all for it in the early days - but it just isn't the same as in other sports - for me it does detract from the enjoyment of the game.

To answer the OP - if you mean the so-called 'top 6', I'd agree with you, but this season, we just need for there to be 3 worse teams than us in the Prem and at the moment, there certainly are.

op is a know-nothing. not worried about playing with the big boys. lots of injuries and ridiculous calls so far have dampened our decent start but no one expected us to challenge for the title. lets get our key players back and kick on.

absolute shambles - i can see VAR being scrapped to be honest.. if its not getting decisions correct, whats the point of it, other than to slow the game down.
