At 11.00 we will fall silent

Men and women some no more than children who made the ultimate sacrifice.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

"awww ma pointy"

"awww ma bells"

Man, I am really sorry in that I missed out on your own troubles.

I will have to read back, but take care of yourself and those around you.

A wise bhoy called Pointy once said we should give each other the benefit of the doubt, on here and in life really, because none of us know what others are going through at home, work or mentally.

Never a truer word or words spoken.

I have a lot of respect for those who gave their lives in WWI & WWII. As a father of two sons I can’t even imagine the pain of them being sent to fight in a brutal war. However I can’t wear a poppy because of the pain and suffering caused by the British army in my country. In reality I blame those who sent them here but the facts are they committed so many atrocities that I simply can’t forgive. I’ll never disrespect those who remember but I have to be true to my own conscience.

I understand where you are coming from, buddy.

We have to respect each other and if I was in your shoes, I would likely feel the same.

Thanks TBBAB - I try to see everyone's point of view - though its not alsways easy - 70 million Trump voters

It's not easy, but little steps, mate.

Even for the old guard rockets like masel....and you should have heard our parents, ffs haha.

Lets say, they would not be working for the FA.

Pointy and JFK should meet for beers asap. Just make sure you wear protection. A mask is not a political statement.

I hear ya...6 months WFH and it's strange times, and for months it was me and daughter at home as wife was in work all through...then school back and I felt alone in the house.

Now, wife on leave after losing mum and it's another adjustment and being in lockdown here last few weeks again in dark wet weather rips my knitten.

Hope you get through this weird time and do not let it get you down too much..
And at least the wife is there to look after your every need and wish, lol.
