Losing the Faith

Am I the only one who is rapidly losing touch with LUFC / football in general?
As each match that I can’t attend goes by, I’m feeling more and more detached from the team I’ve followed as a season ticket holder for over 30 yrs.
I was well excited when last season restarted and I couldn’t wait for the beginning of life back in the Prem but I’m suddenly like an armchair enthusiast who doesn’t know [or care that much] who our next match is!!
Ive never watched loads of TV football, so it’s not the lack of crowds at the televised games and for all their faults, I can’t blame it on VAR or any new handball rules.
I think it’s just the fact that I’m part of the crowds that should be there but aren’t. I just can’t seem to get excited about football now that I’m not physically following it.
From my 1st ‘live’ match in 1973, I’ve seen plenty of “ups and downs". League Champions twice, as well as several promotions and relegations.
I’ve seen some utterly dreadful Leeds teams (Heckingbottom, Warnock, Hockaday, etc.) and there has been times when I wished I didn’t have to go, so I should be feeling robbed by not being able to watch Bielsa’s boys in the top flight but somehow, I don’t.
Football now seems even more false and more fake than ever.
Im not involved now and I’m starting to lose all my enthusiasm.
Is anybody else experiencing this kind of sudden apathy?

Genuine question - what do you think has improved his game this season?

He's an intelligent player with good skills. Along with Bielsa's backing and insight I think Bamford is gradually working it all out.

Agreed - apart from it’s the other Leeds players that are working him out , I think.

I'm not losing faith at all. Hugely disappointed not to be in the stands now we've finally secured promotion, also disappointed to be paying for a seat that gets cold each matchday.

I've grown strangely used to the footy on TV as it is, but it's nowhere the same as with crowds.

I still look forward to our games, i still get as anxious, but certainly not losing any faith. Yet.

I feel like this during international breaks to, you will be fine this time next week.

this.... can never get excited for inernational football, I don't watch and never check the score, unless I see it on the news at some point.

Smoggywhite, I totally feel the same as you, the zing has gone, it is artificial football, results are erratic...Until crowds are back it's going to be grin and bear...

I'm glad to hear it ain't just me. Wonder if the thrill will come back if and when things ever get back to normal?

It’s not the same but I still can’t wait for Sunday!

Not the pressure we felt in the Championship but we do need to start picking up points soon. Some tough games to come before Xmas.
