You must really rate Spurs if you have them both challenging for the title AND for 3rd and 4th.

Been saying it for a while. If he was called Michael he’d have been slated for negative football. Not saying it’s wrong if that’s how they want to play mind you. He’s big Sam with better players at his disposal.

Tbh I'm not sure what people expected from Arteta this early in his reign.

The club and team were both in decline during the KSE / Usmanov standoff. Wenger's signings and re-signings towards the end of his tenure were getting worse and worse - many of which are still inhibiting the club to this day. And, despite all this, Emery came in and actually managed to make things worse.

Yes, there have been weird decisions since Arteta has been here - the Cedric and Willian deals borderline bizarre. But the man most responsible for those has since left the club 'by mutual consent' (ahem), hopefully taking that kind of transfer dealing with him.

We look more solid now than we've done for a long time. The key now is to get the balance between defence and attack right.

I'm still hopeful he can do this.

It's quite amusing how their first two appointments post-Wenger have been the different sides of the AVB coin.

Emery was the nerdy side, all about analysts, DVD's, and he couldn't communicate his message worth a damn. Arteta's the part of AVB that came from more being associated with the greatness he learnt from, and with an expectation to push one style of play only for him too completely u-turn it within less than 10 matches

My only thing with Arteta is why does he play Auba on the left? Same with Lampard and Werner.

They're strikers. Play them as strikers. That's gonna be where they'll score the most goals and thus win their team the most games....
