What are the odds.......

Just looked at Paddy Power odds.

Spurs now into 5/1 third favorites for the PL title ( City now out to 23/10 in second with Liverpool, I think quite rightly, now 6/5 favorites )

Arsenal are out to 100/1

Bookies usually know their stuff.

Sandy, how much did you get at 40/1?

Worth thinking about trading some of that off now imo - great bet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Winston I took 50/1 before and after the first game of the season. I had one bet of £10 each way and another bet of £5 each way, but I had some other bets before the season started on top four and top six. Top four prices I took were 7/2, 3/1, 5/2. Also one small bet of finishing top two at 16/1, a couple of pound each way. Not exactly sure how much I laid out, will have to check, but probably aroundabout £70 or £80 for the title and top four bets, which for a whole season is fine.

My really big bet, which I shall not reveal how much I put on, was on Spurs to finish top six at 8/13.

I shall of course lay off if necessary as and when the season progresses.

Sandy did this last season, kept boasting about how much money he blew throughout the season. It will end in tears when his pension money is pssed up the wall. Tragic

Nice work.

Suppose with the fun bets that you can let them run - but I do tend to take my stake back out if things are going well.

Why are liverpool "quite rightly" favourites when their only good defender is out for the season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because more people lumped money on them? Isn’t that how odds work?

How comes you have filtered me? I would like to comment on your article.

He has practically the whole Spurs board filtered, for no other reason than he is still sulking over Poch.

Yes very sensible Winston, I usually myself like to find a way of covering my bets. Last season I did a number of bets across the division, had a few come up, but the one biggie was I had a patent that included Coventry and Swindon to win their divisions, they were priced at 25/1 and 16/1, so that bet alone covered everthing with a bit of profit.

I do tend to adjust bets as the season progresses to cover any losses, when it is obvious a team is not going to win a title or get relegated.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we keep winning regardless of who is injured

The thing is Luka myself and Sizzle used to get on OK, but he seems to have gone completely off the rails in the year since Poch left.

I used to enjoy an early morning with him.
