Second asterisk season

its absolutely ridiculous that some clubs have to play in empty stadiums whilst others wont. Makes a mockery out of this campaign.

Playing behind closed doors is supposed to be a punishment normally.

Oh God it'll be like watching Notts County is all. It's no bother.

I find it odd that there are so few positive posts about this. I think it's great.

There are so many variables in any normal season, from meeting form teams to playing mid table teams at the end of the season to playing teams that are in Europe or playing them when they're out and no one cared.

It's supposed to be fun!

It takes away a level playing field, one rule for some, another rule for others.

Just like last season`s farce, the whole legitimacy of the competition will be compromised. Any season should finish under the same regulations etc as it started.

It is in no way right and proper to change the rules part way through and carry on as normal. Hence those asterisks will be there forever.

There literally isn't an asterisk.

It’s 2000 people in a big stadium. There is no advantage to a home team and I’m sure the people on here talking about asterisks are just wumming (hopefully or that’s even scarier).

Any footballer going to a PL stadium and being intimidated by 2000 spaced out fans shouldn’t really be playing the sport.

I was so sh!t on match day and that was in front of about 100 at the absolute max. Proper bottler.

Maybe the 2k limit was put in place for safety reasons , to apply across sport as a whole, and football wasn't given any special treatment.

I personally can't believe the government won't just let fans in any number in PL stadiums during a pendemic 😅
