their 19th game of the season at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, and in the main it has been a very, very good 18 games thus far.
Every so often you have take the bull by the horns, and get a statement win that is not only important as a result, but really starts to put some daylight between Spurs and the chasing pack of so called rivals before a ball is kicked.
A win today for Spurs would not only put them them top, but these are the sort of gaps that could be opening up with just over a quarter of the season gone.
Liverpool 2 points
Chelsea 5 points
Man City 8 points
Man United 10 points
Arsenal 10 points
Obviously the United and Arsenal points gap is dependent on them losing, but even so if they both win, it will still be a seven point gap, assuming Spurs also win.
These gaps would not be insignificant, even at this stage of the season.
I won`t go into all the individual battles that could take place this afternoon, but will just focus on the extremely strong and experienced spine that Spurs will put out this afternoon.

Not all fancy dan footballers, but their strength, experience and hardwork is immense, and a major reason that Spurs have been so good this season.
I also think that Jose will confound all the so called experts, and go at Chelsea from the off, and basically take the game away from them, before half-time. I don`t get all this nonsense about Spurs are just a counter attacking team, they are not. They are quite capable of blowing teams away in 15/20 spells of full on attacking stuff, like they did with United and Southampton, and even West Ham. Yes, they can did in if necessary, but Spurs have far too many attacking players to just sit back every game.

Think the game is being over played today in all honesty. Chelsea still a work in progress, haven’t had our best player from last year still which is frustrating. Also a long way to go. Looking forward to the game but doubt it will hAve any impact on the season as a whole and still expect Liverpool to win the title

I really don`t fancy Liverpool at all mate. They do not have a strong squad. They have a decent first XI, but you can see with one or two missing, they are nowhere as good. I expect it to get even worse for Liverpool as the season progresses. I thought they were very lucky yesterday to take a point at Brighton, who played all the best stuff.
