** Vaccine Approved - Roll Out Next Week **

Breaking news this morning that the first Covid vaccine is approved and will begin being rolled out next week.

Currently feeling a sense of huge relief.

Am sure it isn’t quite that simple and there are lots of people still suffering, but after a terrible year this is some real hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

COTY is mine.

Sceptical of what? The safety?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Odd that the turnaround process is this quick with the virus and the media have put so much on this coronavirus story throughout you never know what to believe, so I aren't 100% on it, but I am feeling positive about it and I do believe it will be successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

With all due respect, if you read about how they've been able to develop it so quickly then it may allay some of your concerns.

I feel better about it because it's a private company producing it... wouldn't trust the government!

I have read it, which is why I am more, but not fully, confident about it now.

Fair enough, but where does the doubt come in?

The fact its the first mRNA vaccine to ever be used in humans as well as how long the immunity lasts for starters.

Interesting - will have a little read on that.

The immunity timeline doesn't really concern me. Older people have a flu jab every year, so if that's what it takes then it isn't a big deal.

Yeah I get that about the flu vaccine but for me personally it would be crucial to know how long it lasts because that could be an indicator of how strong the vaccine itself is.

It has passed the test though and is being rolled out to people so I doubt that it wouldn't be safe, but just things like that I'm a bit sceptical about.

You have to think the vaccinations will have a pretty immediate impact.

Given they're starting next week and targeting the most vulnerable. As long as they're deployed efficiently even within a couple of months there should be a huge decrease in severe cases and deaths.

I think we will have full houses at the Euros
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess it depends how quickly the other countries involved approve and roll out their vaccines but you would think they won't be too far behind us.

I am happy to get it after the vulnerable and medical staff, any issues with it will come out and then they can make changes so the rest of will get version 2.0, without all the freaky shiiiit they didnt detect in testing phase.

Its like installing a new Windows OS, you never go with the first release

Nothing wrong with a bit of scepticism in life mate.

I actually felt quite emotional when I saw the news this morning.

Sounds a bit pathetic I know.
