Shirt Sponsors

So today I went to the local shopping mall here in Portugal to buy some Leeds Goodies. Adidas shop, only S & M shirts but nothing else.

Aha I thought JD Sports, they have a massive presence in Portugal in the shopping malls. No Leeds shirt in sight despite the massive Adidas display with MU and Arsenal shirts. So I trawled through the kits on hangers. Plenty of MU and Arsenal but again no Leeds shirts. But wait what were those at the end of the line. Fcuck me Sheffield United shirts.

Radz needs to give our sponsors a kick up the backside and get them to to give us fans a global presence, because if our main sponsors can't where will the overseas fanbase get to buy our kits.

Funny thing is that since our promotion my son can now buy really good Leeds shirts in Bangkok. It seems we are proving a bit of a hit over there. Shopping malls too - not just the markets.

I’m expecting the same in Turkey next summer.

So there is a demand now - maybe our shirt manufacturers need a kick up the bum.
