Deserves a run of games now.
DDG has been one of my favourite united players since his arrival but unfortunately he’s finished.
I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt for the past 2 seasons but enough is enough.

The third goal was Lindelofs fault, farting around on the edge of the box giving away position needlessly.
Then you can point the finger at Maguire or DDG. The more I watch it, the more static DDG looks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he probably does look static, because he probably expected his CB to clear it (and rightly so.. a sunday league CB would do it, let alone an 80 million quid one) and not allow it to run along the 6 yard box with no idea of whats behind him.
yes De Gea didnt do great, but anyone thinking he should ever have been put in that position in the first place clearly doesnt know the game ( and thats not aimed at you busby btw)

Yeh, bags of potential but he's being held up as the messiah.
------
Theres definitely been a campaign with some fans to have him replace Dave this season despite the fact that Dave has actually played well uptil now.
Last night I thought he was poor and regressed to the Dave weve seen in the last 2 seasons.
As for Henderson I think hes looked confident and assured in the few games hes featured. He can't do much more than that until he actually gets a run of games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, but we all need to accept that he is just a player with potential at this stage.
Anyone that is certain he will be a massive success is not being reasonable.

its like having a shiny new toy.
De Gea has hardly put a foot wrong this season, yet people have been calling for him since day one.
Its the same with TFM, people were desperate to see him oust some of the more experienced players because he was new and had a fancy name... and he is gash.
the same with chong, and now Garner

Absolutely
But he clearly was brought back from Sheffield as a potential successor to Dave. Whether he will or not, time and performances will only tell.

Yeah, Maguire should have cleared it.
But so should Lindelof, AWB should have defended the cross better, DDG should have been stronger.
4/5 defenders made mistakes for that goal. It simply isn't good enough.
The first two were also easily avoidable.

The defending yesterday was a mess. It was comfortably the worst defensive performance we’ve put in since Spurs.
I said it on the match thread, and say it again:
I never, ever, ever, for any reason whatsoever, want to see AWB play wingback ever again. Ever.
He just doesn’t know what he’s doing in the role, at all. His positioning is bad enough when he plays at FB, but at least then he has a much more limited space to work in whilst we’re without the ball. He had no clue yesterday. Just didn’t know how to deal with Angeliño at all, and it cost us two goals.

Ole is the reason we lost yesterday.
Him and our terrible defence.
Our strikers don't help either with their inconsistencies.

Awb had a poor game but those types of things are standard procedure from Lindleoff and Maguire.
Why would your captain let a ball run across the 6 yard box?
Classic Lindleoff giving the ball away in dangerous areas.
Maguires interview after the game just shows you that he isn't up to the job. He is no captain and he is not good enough for us.
