Brexit no deal

Do you think you'll bring back the bakelite BS546 sockets for the laugh?

Don’t be giving the Brexiteers ideas!

They’re mad enough to go back to the most awkward system ever invented - different size sockets and plugs for different rooms and appliances and probably with a Union Jack or imperial crown on the back.

Ovens in °Fahrenheit or British Gas Mark numbers, in Roman numerals of course. Maybe use 243 1/8th volts 51 3/16th Hz.

Perhaps non decimal currency too - good old pounds, shillings and pence and obviously ban the metric system.

Cars can go back to fuel consumption of 40 rods to the hogshead.

What else will happen with a no deal Brexit?

Boris Johnson will deliver us unto the promised land and set us free.
Actually, Brexit is about feelings. I think the ex-remainers are finally understanding the motivations behind people like me that voted to leave.
It's not about the economy. It's about our identity and soul.
The economy will go up and down as it always does.
Brexit transcends puerile economics.

Its actually laughable that brexiters are now peddling the myth that they always knew that things would be worse after Brexit; (choice, quality, supply, security, health, unemployment, economy, standards of living) especially in the short-run, but its a price worth paying for a 'reset' back to 'British values' (Warm beer and Evening song, Cricket on the village green... all without any brown people).

And they insist this is what they actually voted for.

Yep, at the time when this was predicted it was all "we're fed up of experts" and "we were told we're going into a recession when the results were announced and we didn't so they're always wrong". Now it's exactly like you say, mainly the middle classes who won't be impacted by any crashes in the economy. It is actualy the northen working classes that voted for this that will get hurt the worst. It's a real shame but when they buy into what Boris, Gove and JRM say, you have to say they have brought it on themselves.

It's just like the boss promising his serfs a day off tomorrie if they work really hard, except tomorrow never comes.

I don't think there is such a thing as a typical Brexiteer. No doubt some didn't know what they were voting for, just as some Remainers. I think a figure of around 30% of BAME voted for Brexit. I guess they weren't thinking of no 'brown people'.

Many Brexiteers were of low income families that probably don't/can't take advantage of freedom of movement, so nothing lost to them.

I'm not defending or siding with any group, just pointing out it isn't really easy to group people together.👍

Good post.

5 million odd Labour voters backed brexit, but if they had backed Corbyn to get get Labour in, those attacking leavers would call them salt of the earth, when they vote the "correct" way haha

Nah. Whoever voted leave, no matter who they vote for, either have an agenda, or don't understand the implications. Those in the north with manufacturing jobs voting for Brexit get everything they deserve. WHich is a shame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did Bame vote leave?

The left in Britain were often eurosceptic, from Tony Benn to Corbyn, so what was their agenda and were they thick?

Bojo you are the man. You are the man. You are the man.
You've only gone and done it. I'm now gorging on my cake and eating it. Tastes delicious.
Great Global Britain is now free to set new standards for free trade across the civilised world.
The country thanks you Boris for delivering us into freedom.
God bless you.
The best Christmas present you could possibly give us. Even Nigel approves.
