Has anyone been to see a match with the current restrictions? What did you think of it?
There seemed to be a general perception that the match going experience would be barely worth it as it would be so different to the norm. But watching the matches on TV, being devil’s advocate, I think it brings some unique positives. Or at least, a different experience.
I think being able to see big matches in person with only a few other people around you could give a kinda prestige, intimate experience. You get to hear what the ballers, the bench, what the ref are saying. Knowing that you’re one of a handful of people getting that experience.
Furthermore, some positive practical aspects. Less queueing, less standing up to let people past, no one spilling beer down your back, unobstructed views.
I’m thinking it’s a bit like going to see a movie premiere in some boujee cinema vs seeing it in your local multiplex in the chavvy town centre.
I guess it is unlikely..but anyone been to a match with the current restrictions and found some positives compared to the Norma experience?
