Too good to go down

Over the course of the years there have been a few teams struggling at the bottom of the league who have been described as "too good to go down".

From my memory, forest and blackburn in the 90s, leeds newcastle and west ham during the 00's also spring to mind. Ultimately all these teams that were described as such were in fact relegated. Only 1 i can think of that survived were everton under kendal when they stayed up by a whisker.

With that in mind are arsenal potentially the next "too good to go down" side and with that, can they potentially go down?

So much wrong with that team just now, ive no idea how xhaka is still at that side, once again hes completely let the entire club down. Huge problems there for me and with some tough games coming it isnt going to get much easier.

How did Arteta get the job in the first place? What accolades or experience did he have in managing to begin with?

I still don’t understand these ex players (Lampard,Ole, Arteta etc) have got jobs at these top clubs after doing nothing before in their managerial career.

It’s not that Arsenal are too good to go down, more a case of them not being quite as bad as at least three other sides.

I don't believe Arsenal will be in the bottom half of the league come the end of the season.

Really? What do you base that on?

Based on the fact they have better players than the teams who normally finish in the bottom half of the league. They're only a point behind Leeds and no one is tipping Leeds for the drop.

Not really seeing the relevance. When we signed carroll we were 9th, had just won 3 league games on the spin and were 2 points off 5th.

Arsenal are 15th, having lost 7 of their opening 12 games and have scored i think 2 goals in their last 7 or 8 or something along those lines.

TBF to fat Frank, he did serve an apprenticeship @ Derby in the Championship while Ole did his @ Utd reserves, Molde, Cardiff, & Molde again (actually winning a Mickey Mouse trophy or 2) and Arteta served his 3 year apprenticeship under Pep @ City.
