I see from the fixtures that Celtic aren't playing their in hand fixture against Aberdeen this week.
As soon as the two teams went out the cup there was a bit of chat that this would be a good opportunity for this to go ahead.
Are Celtic saving this fixture for the new year? Let the new gaffer have a crack at it?

Celtic moved a hibs game just recently
I’m sure most clubs will at some point do this
Celtic have played a lot of games in the first half of the season
Would seem sensible to delay until the new year
They also have a transfer window opportunity
----------------------------------------------------------------------
just as a rule should any team be able to benefit from a transfer window for a game that was postponed?
Surely the correct thing to do would be to ban any new signings.

Why? The opposition can play new signings too. If the players will be correctly registered in time for the game then there's no issue and it won't be the first time either it's happened. Guys that are out injured will play too. Some might even find a bit of form or lose it by then.

As a general point I would have thought that the league would be keen for all overdue fixtures to be played at the earliest date.
As much as I am happy we are where we are in the league right now it is a bit pash at the same time because we dont know actually how far ahead of celtic we are.
I think it would be a bit guff if say it takes until march for celtic to play their games in hand - I dont think it helps the credibility of the league.
How exciting can a title race be if we dont really know how close it is. After this weekend it will be back to three games in hand.

Surprised and disappointed we didn't get the Aberdeen game played this week
would love to know why we didn't

I like being ahead on games, it means we are still putting pressure on them going into games rather than the other way round.
Daunting knowing you need to possibly need to win 3 games just to have a 7 point deficit. They know they can't afford to fook up.

I agree it creates uncertainty that probably works more against celtic than us.
But at the same time if they end up with a congested fixture list towards the end of the season because of this and they drop points it will be another excuse that can be brought up.
I would rather win it fair and square and if it is going to be a close race I would rather know it is actually close. If we are romping it I would rather know we are romping it.
There are too many if buts and maybes at the moment. And it is only going to get worse after this weekend.

Why not just say you don’t want Celtic having any advantage to win the quad treble?

I couldn’t care less about Celtic winning this weekend. Three trebles or four trebles makes absolutely no difference to me.
Celtic are playing a championship team in the final ffs. Even they couldn’t feck that up.
I am only concerned about this season and the league in particular.

I would have thought this Hearts team have a better chance against this Celtic team than they would have in May. Still next to no chance mind you.
As far as league fixtures go its a bit of a lottery Celtic might want to hold off CR7 arriving in January but then it might be someone pure dead rubbish
They might sell the French centre
