I've seen over the last few months Barca keep getting linked with Gabriel Jesus. We wanted him in the summer to replace Suarez, then there were talks of you using him as leverage in the bid for Messi. Having watched quite a bit of Jesus over the last 3 seasons, I want him nowhere near the Camp Nou.
Rewind back 3 years and I remember he was given a glowing reference by the great Rivaldo. 'This boy will re-write history' were his words, or something to that effect. God was he wrong. The only history (being kind) he's made was a late winner at Southampton, but apart from that he's just been largely average in a great City side.
What does he offer? He's not a 9, he's not a false 9 and he's not a winger. He's effectively a forward who runs around a lot (sounds a lot like Griezmann) but offers absolutely nothing in terms of goalscoring or attacking threat. He's got decent numbers, but if you look a little closer there's a lot of stat padding going on with him and he plays for such a creative side.
I can honestly imagine this one happening one day and it'll be another terrible signing by Barca. Steer well clear.

Lukaku was a bit like that for us, but he's looking great at Inter, same with Kean at Everton and now PSG. Some players just suit different clubs.

I rate Lukaku tbf, but he'd never work at Barca. He's suited to a different style entirely. Kean is rubbish.

I don't think he would. Fati is better than him for a start. If Barca are after a new striker, you'd get better in La Liga. Gerard Moreno for example is far better than Jesus.

Fati's a wide forward though, I was talking strikers. Braithwaite is your only recognisable 9, and he was an emergency buy that helped relegate Lega in the process.

Aguero has never scored 30 league goals for City (or anyone else), so by your logic he's not a good striker either I suppose?
From what I've seen I doubt Jesus will ever the the main man for a massive club but he's clearly a very good player. Saying he's terrible is just idiotic.

2 goals every 3 PL games. It’s a formidable record.
He hasn’t had the opportunity to score 30 in a league campaign, because he’s been behind one of the best, if not the best, strikers in PL history.

He is a good player. Great option to have, but I was surprised city didn't go for another centre forward in the summer. They're probably waiting for Haaland or someone like that I suppose.
