MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

This is the first top-flight meeting since January 2004, when an Alan Shearer strike gave Newcastle a 1-0 home win.
The Magpies are unbeaten in their past five league trips to Elland Road, winning four of them.
Leeds have won only one of the 12 most recent contests in all competitions.
The Whites' most recent home win over Newcastle was 3-2 in the Premier League in September 1999.

Leeds United
Leeds could go six successive home league matches without a win for the first time since a run of 12 in the Championship from March to October 2015.
They have lost three of their six top-flight home fixtures. They lost just three times in 23 Championship games at Elland Road last term.
The Whites have won just two and lost five of their past nine league games.
Leeds have conceded a league-high 11 goals from set-piece situations.
Marcelo Bielsa will be taking charge of Leeds for the 114th time, making his stay with the Whites the longest of his club management career.

Newcastle United
Newcastle are looking to win three successive league games for the first time since November 2018. Magpies boss Steve Bruce has not won three in a row since January 2009, when he was at Wigan.
The Magpies can win at least half of their opening 12 matches of a Premier League campaign for the first time since 2013-14.
They have lost only one of their five away league fixtures so far this term.
Half of Newcastle's 14 league goals have been scored in or after the 82nd minute.
Newcastle have lost a Premier League record 44 matches played on a Wednesday.
All seven of top scorer Callum Wilson's goals have been scored in the second half.

Come on now Leeds stop the run of poor Home form
All Prem games are tough and this will be no different but I'm thinking we might just nick this, So it's an optimistic 3-1 for me with Cooper scoring from a corner Bamford and Philips getting the other 2

Pulling all the stops out to try and make out Newcastle were robbed

We know the feeling so suck it up buttercup

not really, ferdinand is right, that tackle anywhere else would be given a freekick

Tonight showed why Pablo is still our best player. On dor a few.minutes, 2-3 superb passes through.

Said earlier jury out on Rodrigo, much better second half. He looked shaky first half but hopefully that gives him the confidence to crack on.

Thought we were the better team from 1 to 95. Actually, from 5 to 95, because I missed the first 5. Excellent.

Definitely were. I actually think Newcastle were the better side for the first 3 minutes.

Brilliant performance. Against West Ham individuals really struggled. Couldn’t control the ball couldn’t pass. It was just one of those bad days though. They’re not robots. Same players back to their ability and the score line flattered Newcastle.

Pleasantly shocked and obviously ecstatic about the result. Shows what I know as I seriously doubted tonights line up had it in them but wow happy to be proved wrong. Marcello you are a very clever man.

No so much clever as showing trust his own players and their ability to put a bad performance behind them.

In life we sometimes have bad days at work but a good boss doesn’t drop, you he coaches, gees you up and trusts you to get it right next time.

That’s good management and I’ve been on the receiving end of that many times.

Great result. Great to see some of those doubting our fitness levels being put in their place and great to get five goals from open play.

Who needs corners?

Cheers guys. Time to relax.

Quite possibly, what i was inferring was we've been on the end of some dubious decisions but apparently they even themselves out over the season

I'm here, couldn't really comment last night, overall a much better performance but still shocking defensively. Pablo needs to play, he's the only one with anything special and we need a replacement for him asap.

But who do you drop? Rodrigo made the first and scored the second. He had a great game.

Klich is integral to our team.

Much as I love Pablo I think he needs to be played like last night. Maybe from half time if things are going bad but mostly to come on later when we have knackered the opposition and he can get the space to make those killer passes.

Either way I don’t think he’s a 90 minute player in the Prem.
