Premier league approves

permanent concussions substitutions, and the trial will start from January.

This has become prominent after the recent Arsenal-Wolves game, and it was obvious yesterday when Kane was mitigated a head injury. Thankfully, he was ok.

Is this something that modern game with its fast pace, needs?

Concussion protocols and situations will be evaluated by the doctors and not the managers

Yes but it's not hard to fake a head injury. What is the standard going to be for a sub? If the player plays a head injury and the manager says he's happy to use a sub I doubt a Dr will say no he can carry on. They'll edge on the side of caution unless the player and manager resist.

Does that happen in rugby?

I'm glad they've approved this, I'm all for it

It will start off OK, but will be soon be open to abuse in my opinion. But at least the five subs have been rightly rejected.

They have a perfect tried and tested system in Rugby and League, why not just adopt that , save all the money spent on trials, the doctors have to be impartial and not paid by the clubs.

They've said that both teams can make a sub if a head injury occurs, so that people don't abuse it.

Personally I think they should have impartial doctors on the scene instead

I think there will be independent doctors involved for sure.

I really hope so, with us letting Luiz back on the pitch against Wolves it shows that you can't necessarily trust the clubs to make the best decision by the players.

Which is an awful thing to say, but sadly it seems to be true.

If concussions can damage your short term memory... imagine the damage concussions can do.
