I hope now, we can finally admit defeat and recognise we ain’t winning the league this season. Liverpool are 3-0 up against palace in a game we struggled in, plus they turned us over, which pretty much ruined any small hope we had of winning the title.
We are certainly closer than last season that’s for sure, but Liverpool are head and shoulders above anyone in the league still I’m sorry to say. If we are near the league title towards the end of the season, then fair play, but chances are we won’t be, so for me it’s all about realistic targets and that’s a top 4 place and a trophy, which will represent an excellent season.
We are all desperate for a trophy with this club, so let’s hope Mourinho can deliver, but I reiterate, we are not winning the league and we don’t have the bottle for it. It’s not a defeatist attitude, it’s being realistic.

And yet if the officials did their jobs properly Pool would have had zero points v Fulham, and if a free kick was given when Horrendo cleaned out Dier v Spurs, just 1 point, that would be just 4 points from 9, instead they have 7, that`s 3 extra points in 3 games, courtesy of the officials. That`s how leagues are won.

There is a video knocking around somewhere which clearly shows Horrendo taking out Dier, which left Firmino unmarked to score the winner
Predictably, VAR ignored it.

Don, sorry mate, but Palace were all over Liverpool. They are getting lucky.
I aint hoisting the white flag. Spurs were five points behind them, same games played, and had not played any of the so called big games. So why would you concede this side of Xmas.
Spurs will win the title this season. Take it from me.

How the fack can a manager as seasoned as mourinho think that surrendering the ball at 1-0 up is gonna get us anything apart from dropped points in a lot of games. This is the prem not serie a. I’m more annoyed about the palace result than Liverpool. Especially after they shipped 7 today. Also standard That they play us with fans and then when Liverpool come to town it’s quiet as a mouse

Well if we lose and other results don't go our way we could end up 7th.
The Palace result/performance was worse yes. Both disappointing but at Palace the goal conceded was coming from a mile away. It was practically signposted, and judging by our response to it it showed we could have pushed on to get the 2nd/3rd etc goals if we had more desire to get out of our half.

I'm watching the Amazon documentary at the moment. Very late to the party I know! In episode 2 when he first joined Jose says "At 2-0 in the premier league the game is not finished. We have to score more goals and kill the game." Shame he seems to have changed his policy on this.
