A frustrating evening at the Camp Nou as Valencia leave with a point. The away side didn’t threaten that much and seemingly scored two goals out of nowhere, whilst Barca couldn’t make the high possession count. Another huge but habitual disappointment was the performance of Antoine Griezmann. He lost Diakhaby for Valencia’s first goal at a corner and wasted yet more chances from good positions. He simply isn’t good enough to play for Barcelona, yet he is continually selected.

A big plus point for me was Ronald Araujo. Barcelona’s young, tall centre back looks totally at home in the back four and will have a great career. The way he moves and defends genuinely reminds me of Van Dijk; Liverpool or United would do well to sign Big Ron before his price skyrockets. Not only is he brilliant at defending, but his ability on the ball is great and he scored a fabulous bicycle kick to put the Blaugrana 2-1 up in the second half.
