Over 10 years and 300 appearances as a player and a further 3 years as a manager at Espanyol, who gave him his break in both European football and senior management, but he was willing to back track on comments about never managing Barca. If the circumstances were right and the Arsenal job was attractive enough in the future... never say never.

I firmly don’t believe he’d have gone near the Arsenal job. Good jobs come up in football regularly, and he could afford to wait. The Newcastle job under the Saudi’s may have had a whiff of ‘City under the Sheikh’ about it to him, hence the attraction. But he’d have to balance his desire to get back into the game with his integrity. He managed Spurs for over five years, took us from top 4 pretenders to PL and CL runners up on a budget, transitioned us to the new stadium, had a wonderful rapport with the fans. Look how emotional he was when we made the CL final. He’s discussed his love for the club and fans since leaving. You get a true feeling for a guy when he manages your club for that long, and I genuinely believe the Arsenal job is one he’d never touch - I think he has too much personal integrity and value on loyalty, and knows there are enough other good jobs he could get that wouldn’t mean compromising these things and besmirching his reputation. I’ve heard some arsenal fans demanding he be brought in for a while, and always adamantly said the same thing, just would not happen.

Spurs also sacked him.

Not changing the name yet. He can still become a legend by taking someone like Xhaka or Ozil from us

Batmoanu you are one of my favourite people on this site just because you 'get it' when it comes to Ozil.
Nothing makes me feel more sick when we are losing then Jamie Redknapp rubbing salt in our wounds by proclaiming that it's a "no-brainer" to bring Poozil back into the team.

Lmao Poch wouldn't go anywhere near the arsenal job
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Course he would and Wenger would take the Spurs job too. Then they'd both give SAF a bell and he'd go manage City after Pep took the Real job

I suppose that most anything is possible if you think desperate and hard enough about it. But people need to understand that not everyone in football/sport, is a money grabbing who feels no shame in sh !tting all over their personal integrity. For some, no amount of zeroes on a cheque, will be enough money. Because their integrity is priceless.
Absolute alien concept in sport these days and football in particular. But SOME PEOPLE STILL HAVE CLASS! And ex Spurs manager or not. I do believe that Poch is one of those people. He'd manage ANY other club in the PL but not Arseanl, just on basic principle.

Pochettino admits mistake: "Now I'd never say I'll never coach Barca"
Mauricio Pochettino has backtracked on his comments in 2018 saying that he would rather go to his farm in Argentina than coach Barca. "You never know what can happen in life," the former Spurs boss said. He has been without a job since 19th November 2019.
Pochettino said in January 2018: "I'm never going to coach Barcelona, Arsenal or Rosario Central because I'm very closely linked to Espanyol and Tottenham. I've also grown up at Newell's - Central's big rival - and I'll never coach Rosario. I'd rather work on my farm in Argentina than coach certain clubs."
But now, Pochettino has been without a job since 19th November 2019 and rumours on him going to the Camp Nou to replace Quique Setien continue to grow. Now, the Argentine seems to have changed his tune.
In comments to 'El Pais', he said the following: "You have to explain it properly. I was in Barcelona that year and I found myself with Bartomeu in a bar. We said hello to each other because we took the kids to the same school and we chatted for five minutes. That caused a rumour that set alarm bells ringing because more clubs wanted us. When I asked, I wanted to end it there and then; I did not want to disrespect Barcelona."
"Things can be said in a different way. Espanyol have helped me become well known. But I'm not arrogant and I didn't like making a comment like that. Maybe now I wouldn't say that as you never know what can happen in life," Pochettino explained.
