I likened him to Pogba in another thread recently with regards to this.

It wasn’t exactly an amazing performance from Rashford either but you can see the effort put in and even when it’s not his day, he does well.

Martial probably does need some time out of the team. Depending on the team I’d try Greenwood down the middle to see how he does and give him experience.

Martial, Pogba and Fred are judged by their worst, whereas Rashford, McT, and Maguire are judged by their best or not judged at all. Our fans should try to be fair a bit.

Martial this season is 133 mins per goal/assist
Rashford this season is 86 mins

Martial deserves his criticism this season so far. He got plenty of praise previously.

An away draw against a team above us is actually a good result. I am happy with that. Yes, it would have been nice to leapfrog Leicester and close in on Liverpool. We are only about one third of the way in the season and United are coming on strong.
We seem to do better in the new year and this time there are a lot more games left to be played.
I think United will just get there but it's going to the wire this season.

The way he plays on occasions it's almost like he's peaked, too content and is not willing to push himself.

Very similar numbers to Rashford, 1 in 3 games man. Too many like that for us to be clinical.

Fitness is the main issue for Cavani

Cavani also disappears in matches, more so than Martial.

Martial shouldn't be playing centre forward from the start.

Winger - if anything.

But he is still more useful than Rashford who shouldn't be starting in ANY position.

Both are subs.

At least Cavani: makes defences work hard, thinks quickly and has real spatial awareness. So even if he doesn't score (or tires) if/when Rashford does come on he will have an opportunity to exploit his limited ability against a weak defence.

Whats going is Martial is overated thats what
