How do you think we'd have coped...

It’s the sort of game where Ole should drop one of McFred for Beekers as his quick one and two touch passing keeps things moving quickly. Also play one of our fast CB’s to handle the one v one counters.

Obviously, we struggle in these games and on another day, Liverpool win comfortably.

I think when you actually look at the games we've failed to win this season that's not really the case.

Chelsea 0-0
Arsenal 1-0
Basakasehir 2-1
PSG 3-1
Leipzig 3-2
Man City 0-0
Leicester 2-2

The only example there I would say is probably the loss to Basakasehir. I think in general this whole 'United only dangerous on the counter attack' narrative is becoming more and more lazy and outdated.

We were definitely getting better at playing against such sides last season. I’m now more worried about sides who are dangerous in attack.

We haven't faced anything close to an Allardyce lock down yet. Most games have had open patches that we have taken full advantage of.

We have to play Cavani in these types of games. Martial n Rashford aren't great against the bus parkers. Too reliant on space in behind.

I think Greenwood is very useful against them. He can score out of very little, from outside the box. Martial does also have it in him to put some decent link-up play together.

Rumours are that Rashy might be sitting out this one. Martial from left and Greenwood from the right with Cavani up top will be decent I reckon.

Wouldn't be against that.

I'd like to see Martial revert to playing from the left more often because he's our best ball carrier and dribbler and it's a shame in a way he plays up front because we don't get to see him utilise those aspects of his game as often and having a player like him running and dribbling at defences would be helpful when it comes to breaking teams down.

Cavani obviously needs to be managed carefully but if he plays, I'd have Martial and Rashford either side of him. Along with Bruno that's arguably our strongest front four, against any opponent.
