STOP TAKING OFF NDOMBELE

Some scores in games where NDombele has been substituted (at the time of substitution)

Wolves 0 - 1 Spurs
Palace 0 - 1 Spurs
Spurs 3 - 0 West Ham
Spurs 1 - 0 Newcastle

in each of these games NDombele has been taken off, and with it, we have lost any ability to play transition football through the thirds, and have ended up drawing the games.

The substitution of Sissoko for NDombele yesterday, was a nonsense. Negative, wrong message, lack of intent, and painful to watch.

I don't believe all this 'he can only play 60 mins rubbish'. what is that based on? how would we know? we don't ever play him for a full 90 to actually find out !!!

we had absolutely minimal ball, so our solution is to take off a ball player for sissoko - the poorest person on the ball in our entire squad??!!!!

its an absolute mess at the moment. we have gone from free flowing and attacking to a counter attacking team with potency, to now a counter attacking team that doesn't even counter attack.

we just defend for the whole game as if its serie A.

And whats more, we keep facking it up from set pieces. how predictable is that?!

I have said this before and will say it again, if you cannot defend set pieces then it is completely irrelevant the quality of the opposition... you will always be susceptible to concede goals.. this is because every single professional side in world football, possibly every semi pro side too, has at least one player capable of putting in a decent delivery to the box, and at least one player good in the air.

That makes games like Marine an absolute banana skin as they will just put that high ball on us.

Can anyone please explain to me how it makes sense to adopt a system which gives our world class players (kane and son) as little of the ball as possible? meanwhile our weakest areas (defence) are put under 90 minute long scrutiny.

winks and sissoko are a real problem. both badly need upgrading. winks cannot retain possession. he has lost the ability to pass the ball accurately, thus rendering him useless.

sissoko is just a mess. if we lose PEH for any length of time this season it would be as big as losing kane or son, both of whom look facked by the way, and need a rest.

Kane is going to play 90 mins every game isn't he? until he gets a long layout... like every year.. we never ever learn.

6 points, and nothing less, is acceptable from the next two games, and nothing other than attacking football is acceptable in either. anything less than 6 points and a brand of football that is an improvement and Jose can honestly fack off.

To dare is to do my arris… if ever a slogan didn't fit a club.

Horses for Courses Jose... defend v city, but not against palace and wolves ffs. i am sure we will treat Fulham as if they are Barcelona in a couple of days... how much respect are we going to show teams?

wonder if anyone has the bollox in the squad to pull Mourinho aside and tell him that this stuff is stupid and not working...… nope.. not one of them will have. they will carry on executing a ridiculous plan and watch us pissss away points week in week out.

To say that I am disillusioned is an under statement.

Wolves hadn't scored from a set piece for time... And then along comes the gift that keeps giving.

You offer up that much possession your almost playing the oppo into form as the get so many chances that eventually they'll get one right.

100 percent spot on

Exactly. It's why it's such a nonsense saying Mourinho tactics are low-risk high-reward. There's nothing riskier than letting the opposition have all the possession in your own half. Eventually they WILL score even if it's from a long shot.

Needs to be an unstoppable player. Kane. Son. PEH. Dier. Lloris. One of the senior pros

Undroppable even

This is why we need another capable central midfielder as a matter of urgency, Sissoko and Winks are just not good enough and GLC and Ndombele have fitness issues.

Ndombele is subbed off after 60-70 mins as sure as night follows day. So picking out results in certain games is pointless because it happens in almost all games.

The fact is he goes missing in the second half of games and you have to ask the question as to why a young professional football player cannot maintain his fitness and involvement in a game over 90 minutes?

Was our best player on the pitch till he went off.

Exactly. Was our best player from the first minute until he got subbed so why should he be top of the list to come off? Ridiculous.

Could be an interesting approach to start Sissoko and sub him off for Ndombele after 30 minutes.
