MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

West Brom have lost just one of the last six league meetings at The Hawthorns, winning four and drawing once.
Leeds are unbeaten in the two previous Premier League encounters between the clubs in 2002-03, winning one and drawing one.
West Bromwich Albion

West Brom are without a win in their last five league matches, drawing two and losing three.
They have conceded eight goals in their past two Premier League home games.
The Baggies have had just six shots in their two league fixtures under Sam Allardyce; opponents Leeds have had 28 shots in the same period.
Allardyce has won just one of his four home games against Leeds in all competitions, drawing one and losing two.
Leeds United

Leeds have won two of their last three league matches.
They have scored eight goals in those three fixtures, as many as their previous seven top-flight matches.
Their last five Premier League games have featured 23 total goals.
Leeds have had six shots or more in all but one of their 116 games in all competitions under Marcelo Bielsa.
Patrick Bamford has scored 10 goals in 15 Premier League games for the Whites this season - the most by a player from a newly-promoted club since Kevin Phillips's 13 for Sunderland in 1999-2000.

Big Sam surprised everyone by getting a point at Anfield so I reckon he'll be fancying his chances against us fair enough i suppose but I'm going for a clean sheet and 2 goals for us with Raph n Rod Scoring them 0-2 to Super Leeds ....... Bielsa to implement "Plan B" which is same as "Plan A" but faster and less wasteful

Some lovely passages of play, controlled the game from start to finish. Big Sam outthought and outplayed by Bielsa. Outstanding performances, but among the highlights for me was the back four. When you think about the players who are out, Ayling, Struijk and Phillips were outstanding, they simply stifled any threat from the Baggies. People will say we played a very poor team today, but this team drew at Anfield a couple of days ago, and we dismantled them. This is the kind of control and game management we have needed for some time.

Karen Carney thinks it is Halloween.

Also thinks that Leeds only got promoted because of covid...

Will there be a game where a lazy pundit doesn't mention Bielsa burnout?

It just shows they know nothing about Leeds and barely watched us and are just sprouting out things someone else has said.

MOTD2 after Burnley game was a disgraceful lack of awareness about our game.

How it gets aired without someone stepping in I don't know.

I actually thought she showed she was in tune with things.

We were all holding our breath going into final stretch and I think many felt that the break helped rather than hinder us.

What I would say though is I'm not sure we've burnt out in last 2 seasons due to energy, I think we fell apart after Wigan defeat in first season, it was mental not physical, last season, well, we'll never know, but less matches this season, I'm not worried about physicality at this point and we have 3 first choice players coming back at some point.

We had gone through a sticky patch but I thought we played the best football under Bielsa just before the season got suspended, the Hull game was fantastic, none of them have a clue, I haven't missed a game under Bielsa and the last year we have been fantastic with no sign of fatigue.

We won 5 in a row without conceding a goal before lockdown and had a comfortable lead on 3rd place.

We were holding our breath because it's Leeds and had 16 years of disappointment weighing on it, on the pitch we were doing the business. There's no justification to say we were going to burn out and only got promoted due to covid.

Yep some pretty lazy punditry there. JFH was on the ball though. He’s good at this job because he understands the game.

Great result. Now if we could just stop giving the ball away cheaply at times. You can bet Spurs will make the most of any sloppiness from us.

Is it Lineker tonight!
