CH v SL - How long does he have left?

During the heady days of terminal illness and the not so heady days of anti-depressants I loved a good stat-filled thread. Christmas and resignation has afforded me a similar opportunity now.

CH has now been in charge for 18 games. He sits with the following record:

18 = W4 D7 L7 = 19 points.

SL in his last 18 games, ended his tenure with the following record:

18 = W3 D7 L8 = 16 points.

How did SL do if we go a little further back? Well, here we go:

19 = W3 D7 L9 = 16 points. CH has Preston (A)
20 = W4 D7 L9 = 19 points. CH has Millwall (H)

Do we stick with the type of football we have currently? Backwards, sidewards and devoid of pace and creativity...and goals.

Or, do we get a new manager who knows how to at least entertain?

Remember when we used to beat the good teams and lose against the poor ones? Now we beat the poor teams, draw against the mediocre teams and lose convincingly to the top teams.

If SL had one style of play, at least it was attractive counter-attacking football. Yet, he only had a plan A.

Now we have CH and his possession based defensive football. Removed of all flair and creativity. Again, no plan B.

My opinion. If he doesn’t win the next two (potentially next game) we get rid before he takes us down.

If we’re going to get relegated, lets at least make it entertaining.

Bore off CH. I’ve had enough.

Agree sacking CH isn’t the answer, the problem is, it is most likely the reality.

Dierby are currently 3 up at half time to Brum and are now a point above us as it stands 😳

If we sack CHris Hughton, then I’m done with Football and Forest - seriously I’m sick and tired of the chopping and changing

He’s the best and most competent manager we’ve had in a long time

Chris Hughton has to remain in charge. If he takes us down he has to get us back up. Could be a long rebuilding process but I’ll still be here.

Based on what? Past glories? He’s doing an awful job right now.

You banged on for half a year about getting rid of SL, but the same results for CH and we let him take us down?

If he goes then your leaving football and Forest?! 🀣 of course you are Rev.

The fact is we brought in a defensive possession based manager for a counter attacking one.

Wrong players for the wrong manager.

Now, despite performances AND results we let him bring in players for this brand of football. Imo that’s a bigger reason for not watching than EM getting rid of someone who can’t make this squad work.

Good on you mate, because I’m not watching this carp brand of football in league one.

I did three years of that last time. Not again.

There have been some questionable performances from Grabban and this sounds like another one.

Looks about as interested as he did in the Sunderland doco. I wouldn’t blame him if he wanted to leave.

I think that the turn around in the second half proved what a good manager C.H is in a situation like this.
We had chances to win in the second half, that I didn't expect.

We’ve done that a few times this year Bear. Had a good 2nd half here and there.

The commentator said maybe the play-offs aren’t out of reach?! 🀣

I think the fog was our 12th man tbh.
