Marcel Sabitzer

Im reading lots of reports linking him with a move to Spurs in January, some reports even suggesting he has said of his desire to join us.

Anyone know if his any good, and if he joins is that the end for Dele?

I usually take these reports like i do my chips, lightly salted but there is usually no smoke with out fire.

Yeah, as long as we don't put him through the ringmarole that Dele is going through,.In other words, Jose thinks Sabitzer needs to get used to the pace, and doesn't play him in the PL.

Or if the player shows the right attitude like PEH he will play every game.

It doesn't help if the manager wants flair and attacking minded players to play like PEH, i.e. a defensive midfielder?

Like who ?

As long as does not attempt any flicks.

Would be a much needed upgrade on Sissoko and Winks, as long as he could stay fit and last 90 mins.

Any attacking prowess would be soon coached out of him though, in favour of defensive solidity.

Sabitzer will probably play AMR in Jose system. Lucas and Bergwijn will be back up AMR/L

Very good player

We need a quality player to take Sissoko`s role, somebody who can play football, with technical ability and who can quickly set off attacking transitions.

Sissoko is just so limited that his inability on the ball ruins most of the quick transition situations he is involved in, a better player in those situations would improve us drastically.

Sabitzer (from what I have seen) could be the player we need, he appears to be comfortable on the ball, with a turn of pace and effective at both ends of the pitch.

Yes. Arguably Spurs already have this in Lo Celso of course, but Mourinho won't play him alongside Ndombele and wouldn't know how to set the midfield up anyway, even if he did play them both.

It strikes me that if Sabitzer did come in, it'd be more likely at Ndombele's or Bergwijn's expense than Sissoko's, considering how Mourinho likes to set up his midfield.

Lo celso has moments, no doubt is a good player but have my doubts, fitness borderline lamela levels as well.

Sabitzer good at set pieces?

Yeah, I think he takes set pieces for Leipzig. Definitely likes a shot from range.

Both great assets we could do with. Have missed both that eriksen offers. Yes his set pieces towards the end especially left a lot to be desired but in the free kick areas you'd at least have some hope of an opportunity arising.
