Pentaly to Man United
For the 27th time since Solksjaer took over. How does this keep happening?

I said at the time it looked like Pogba tripped himself up, now looking at the replays in slow motion it’s blatantly obvious that is exactly what has happened. How do VAR officials watch this and decide no clear and obvious error by the referee? A lot of Villa players have rightfully called out VAR on Twitter over this disgraceful decision but will anything ever change? If memory serves correctly, it was against Villa last season that United were awarded a penalty when Bruno Fernandes was the one who committed a foul.
And in the clip below, you see Pogba getting angry with Luke Shaw because he didn’t dive in the box yet the refs keep buying this shiiiit. When will it end?

Player Fouled: Pogba. Fouled by: Pogba

hope the refs see clips of pogba telling shaw to go down in the box. maybe they will stop falling for it. 33 pens in 59 games now? pathetic.

And if you do actually think it was a penalty then that would be in line with the narrative of this article being that VAR is useless

VAR cannot rule out something isn't an obvious mistake from the ref. I'm not fan of VAR either, but it did rule out a lot of refs' mistakes than you give credit for. What can be improved is like in CL where decision by a toenail offside should not be considered by VAR (i.e PSG goal against us).
But last night, it was the ref who made that decision in the first place

Can understand it maybe reeking of desperation here, but what evidence have you seen that also links lemons to diving?

So I must be getting blind, but I could swear I see the Villa players right leg cutting across Pogba's stride and as Pogba's left leg came down, was clipped by the trailing leg. It's not the biggest stone waller I've ever seen, but it's not a ridiculous penalty decision. The player got far too tight to Pogba and put himself in that position - which seems naive.

Clearly contact with Pogba on the players calf beforehand

Not sure what all the fuss is about to be honest
It was a penalty

Absolutely correct, first contact was from Luiz’s right leg - enough to make Pogba kick the back of his calf. Ye think it was clear.
