Looks bad but...

I feel sorry for Sheffield United players and their supporters.11 times this season they have lost by one goal, twice by two, twice by three. Failed to score in 10 games. Some of the so-called big teams have had hammerings.
A couple of good signings could easily make a massive difference and turn those 1-0s into draws or even wins. Now is the time for the owners to get the cheque book out. Or are they thinking that it is OK to take the drop, get a parachute payment and regroup next year?
There have been comments that have crossed my mind..
The Blades have lost their edge and need to be sharper.
Sheffield have lost their steel.
Would have been better off keeping the Blades in the canteen.
etc etc.
But I sincerely wish you well and hope you stay in the Premier.

At the expense of any of the London clubs except West Ham.

Now wilders complaining about no fit players n having 9 players out. Yes Wilder this is why the rest were asking for 5 subs to potentially guard against fatigue injuries and the 25% increase in them.

Oh and having young players hes struggling to bed in, yes wilder 5 subs could have helped with this too. Well done.

They have spent money. 24 million on Brewster. Issue is that they haven't spent it well.

well they bought two young players for top money, clearly not for short term survival but for the future. Far too early to say if that moneys been spent well but unlike fans i doubt they bought them to rely on them to keep them up this year.

Brewster was clearly a signing for this season. Money spent on Lowe and Bogle from Derby was a waste too. Not the signings they needed.

Tried to adopt the Burnley approach of signing players from the championship and having them step up and wasted that money on players not good enough for the PL now.

they survived easily last season didnt they? can understand why they didnt feel the need to go for experienced proven quality to survive.

Brewsters 20 years old with half a season in the champs with swansea and the u20s wc and w.e else he won w ith england unders. Sure they bought him with intention of playing him this season but more bedding him in and developing him whilst learning their system etc. Certainly didnt spend 23m on him pinning all hope of survival on him.

Same with the keeper hes 22? very young/inexperienced for a keeper but he has a year prem exp with bournemouth? But ultimately because they couldnt get Henderson from utd they had to get another young keeper in. I was shocked at what they had to pay for him though, he wasnt that impressive at Bournemouth but he was one of sheffield own wasnt he? one of their youth products.

Well that’s their issue isn’t it. They over-performed last season with a squad that is relegation standard. And the show too much loyalty to these same jokers who were the same players starting for them at league one and Championship level rather than replacing them with PL quality.
