On a separate note: I am told by the journo that Kane is the first player in top European league to be in double figures with assists and goals scored

I wasn't aware of this until I heard tbh.

I know there are other stats that Kane and Son matched but for me, a striker who can finish and can have that many assist is just amazing!

Thierry Henry was able to do this. Can't think of many others though. Messi too of course but it's a very special quality to be able to both score and set up lots of goals. Most mainly do one or the other.

On the basis of what Kane has been doing this season, I think he has elevated himself to the ranks of legends imo.
We are privileged to be watching two legends at the club. Sonny and Kane. Like Batman and Robin

Will be such a huge shame if this bloody club can’t win a trophy with these 2. Be a travesty. You can talk about Top 4 all you want, these two both should be winning silverware. Just hope we can offer this to them.

Lamellar won’t be going anywhere, he’s a Mourinho type player and will probably get a contract extension in the summer

This is what intrigues me about this?

Has his performances merit an extension or an improved contract? He has been missing in some key games with injuries, so I don't see how the club can justify doing that?
I mean Sonny has received a much improved contract, however Sonny's contributions are huge in comparison.
Maybe there is a swap deal to be had, with another player?

The cost to replace him in transfer fees, agency fees and signing on fees probably outweighs just giving him a new contract.

Sadly, that's so true. To have so close, and yet nothing to show for it after the years these tow given us, hope we can start winning a trophy or two.

But would that be good enough reason for Jose? I kind of think not!

The problem with Lamela is that he has no pace. He is so slow on a counter it’s unreal.
Even when we bought him, he was slow.
He’s another one who’s almost a good player

Jose says lamela not featuring against Brentford, doesn't say why

Ally G alluded to something about Lamela in his latest video but couldn't say what. Disciplinary measures? Transferred out? S3x change?
