He signed most of them. And it was still better than most pf the squads in the league. Most of the players regressed under him, the performances were awful and the results not much better. Only sympathy I had for him was the amount of injuries we had. But there’s no need to make things up and say he done a pretty good job, he didn’t.

I think Ole probably would have done better as he would have allowed our attackers to actually have some freedom.

And I doubt he’d have played a past it Wayne Rooney as a facking central midfielder.

It means a lot when you see how we played under Van Gaal, especially with the players we had in the squad. If the squad is suited to a more direct style of football, as ours was and was occasionally seen under him, then removing those constraints will see an uptick in performances and results.

When Jose facking Mourinho is a breath of fresh air for the players you know you have problems. That’s how bad things were under Van Gaal.

This is worse than the Spurs fans rewriting history about what a good job Mourinho did for us.

Yeah gotta side with Donny on this one Sidey. I don't remember the specifics but I do remember Van Gaal was bad... really bad.

I remember going into the United games in 15/16 despite the total shambles we were at the time with no fear what so ever. Not even a trace of it.
