New lockdown?

Scotland have made an announcement to go into a lockdown, and significantly schools will remain closed there until at least February.
Wales are due to make an announcement at 4pm.
Boris is addressing the nation at 8pm.

This had a sense of inevitability about it.

I don't know Winston. Student nurses used to start on oranges before they were let lose on the general public.

Its more taking the responsibility of your actions as a registered health professional and accepting the consequences of sticking a needle in someones arm and squirting a barely tested serum into their bodies.

Im sure you understand that it isn't just as simple as that.

So if the government advertised in March, you don’t think we could now have thousands of people qualified and ready to go?

I do. Facking basic.

Its a trial drug.

This means that many profesionals who might be able to do injections are not able to. (such as healthcare assistants).

Many nurses and healthcare professionals are off sick due to Covid and Long Covid.

In March there was no vaccine available to advertise for. It has only been available since last month. This is the starting date.

the roll out will inevitably require employing retired nurses and doctors if we want it soon rather than later.

But we knew a vaccine was coming.

That’s my point.

Prepare for the inevitable roll out by recruiting people and organising vaccine stations across the country.

We had 9 months and we did nothing.

I'm Winston on this. Pizz poor from the mongrel that is Bozza.

The fact people voted him was baffling, but then he's Hut with a pandemic and you almost feel for him at first as it's unprecedented and then you see the same mistakes and lies on repeat all whilst the rich keep getting richer. And to think, people are still in support of this innept weasel of a man

I am no fan of how the GVT has handled this whole affair. But as it is essentially a trial drug and it therefore has to be rolled out by the book by fully qualified and state registered professionals. It is in the end the legal responsibility of the practitioner that injects the vaccine and not the GVT or even the Healthcare Authority if it has adverse complications in the future or if any protocols whatsoever were not adhered to in the room when it was injected.

This is how it works and that isn't going to change. People sue the NHS, individual Doctors and Nurses all the time for what they regard as negligence. However most claims are not upheld in a court of law.

The GVT will need to call on retired GP Doctors and SRNs to create the required workforce to roll this out this huge vaccination... if it wants to do it right now (ie. over the next couple of months) If people can wait then the NHS will manage it in its own time probably completed before the end of the year

Are you telling me they couldn’t have amended the law in this case?

I don’t believe that, do you?

Winston I agree, that politicians can change the law quickly when there is a will

Boris has just come clean regarding the vaccination.

All over 70s and healthcare workers will be vaccinated by end of February if it goes to plan. However the BBC correspondent on their news programme wasn't very hopeful of this under known circumstances

So the rest of us.... Under 70s wont get their vaccination from March onwards. Under 60s then under 50s etc etc.

So by end of Summer it looks like the timescale to complete the vaccination roll out. Boris didn't say who would be doing the vaccinations though.

Thats if all goes to plan.

You’ve heard of waivers, no?

Not in medical practise no. But it could be a new line of work for Litigation Lawyer Companies

I think they do.

I went for eye surgery and they made me sign an “if you go blind don’t come to us” type document
