I think there will be riots in the streets if that happens

United are already top on points per game, which is the fairest way of establishing the standings mid-season when teams have played a different number of games.

The NBA, MLB and NFL are all routinely ranked this way, time for footy to step into the 21st century.

With the retaken penalty hitting the bar and bouncing down a mm over the line before the GK catches it. Cue Burnley celebrations before the goal-line tech kicks in.
