Need to rest players for this. Least important game of our season so far imo. Like the league cup you only really take this seriously if you get to the quarters.

Do yellows still count towards all domestic suspension in the Carabao cup because it they do I’m not sure why Maguire didn’t get one tonight considering he is sitting on 4.

Should be enough to beat a championship side and might be able to put 1 or 2 of those in the shop window. Would be nice to give Ighalo a swan song against his former club too.

Yeah, might as well field a greatly weakened team on Sat. Should be good enough to win and if they're not, at least we don't get beaten in a semi final. So it's a win win really

I'd like to see VdB play further forward on Saturday. If we can't even play him in his best position in what's basically a reserve side then what was the point in signing him, really?

I'd put money on Maguire, AWB, Rashford and Bruno all starting.
He wants a cup and he'll run players in to the ground or play them through injury until he gets one (or gets sacked, whatever comes first)
The man is showing a selfish team and the wellbeing of the team does not seem to be a primary concern

maguire and AWB should definitely sit it out, bruno should probably miss burnley too. wouldn't have a problem with ighalo getting a last start against his old club, and if lingard/TFM/james are going to be at the club then they should be wheeled out for ties like this (though a slightly easier draw would have been nice).

I reckon Watford are still better than a few teams in the PL.
Still, we should definitely be resting Bruno and Rashford. Have a feeling Martial will probably start with Cavani back for Burnley. Against Liverpool we will probably be unchanged from today.

garner won't be able to play for watford, but i'm pretty sure he won't be able to play for us either!
otherwise fairly happy with that team, and would be equally happy to see TFM/ighalo/lingard on the bench, if they're ever going to allow the first 15 to have a proper rest, it has to be in games like this (lingard for instance gets £100k a week, has been fit for most of the season, and hasn't played a single minute in the PL or CL)
