It always amazes me when Shevchenko gets added to these lists. I f actually watched him he was ok and always gave 100%, just never happened for him in front of goal and that's what punters always use to hang him by!

Veron wasn’t a flop at United, or are you talking about Chelsea?

He started well but just wasn’t suited to this league imo. He certainly didn’t have the impact expected.

Yeah he never reached his Lazio levels but had some decent games

veron was a good player, he was just the wrong player for united. that united team used to attack with lots of pace out wide, but veron preferred to put his foot on the ball and look for the right pass, killing the momentum of the attack.
Great vision, great left foot, just not quite right for that team.

Zaha and Obertan were too cheap to call flops and I think we bought Zaha for 7 mill and sold him for 6 mill. I’d agree on Depay.

How much was that Sanchez fella that spurs signed. CB for big money I think it was. He's been crap.

40m and he hasn’t been great but he had an excellent season in his second season so that is probably enough to rule him out of worst ever signings.

Veron destroyed utd's formation and pushed scholes out of place.

they took a 13 mil bath on a 28 mil transfer! thats pretty disasterous.

liverpool took a 15mil bath on carroll.

utd are still paying for the sanchez disaster contract.

Shevchenko was basically a 30mil loss as his couple of loans just barely paid for his wages at best.

Torres was probably a 40mil loss and did nothing at chelsea really for them.

I would add aquilani to this as a transfer that wasted 20mil on a player to replace alonso.

di maria is another good call but as far as i recall utd got out of it just about with their shirt. only lost about 10mil in 6 months.

Veron not even close to the disaster that Carroll was.

Veron actually started quite well and also won a title.

Carroll was sheite - barely scored any goals and was moved on very quickly.
