Greenwood

Seems out of sorts this season. Obviously he’s a talented boy and he’s had a few issues off the pitch this season so I’m not writing him off at all, but would a loan next season be worth looking especially if we were to bring in a striker or a right winger?

He played up top yesterday... with Lingard behind him.

Rashford is a more explosive player than he is so will often contribute more but greenwood has time and poor form is inevitable! To expect him to play well every game is ridiculous

You always take things to the extreme. No one expects him to play well every game.

Whole article is about him possibly needing a loan. That’s just silly

Which I agree with but who said he needs to be great every game?

Greenwood needs a run of games up top, but if he doesn't score in his first game, he needs dropping in my opinion.

A loan isn’t as wild a suggestion as people make out. Especially if he’s viewed as a cf for the long term. He’d need to play games there to develop, something he’ll not get enough of at United right now. But we’d be weakening the squad for next season if we did.

So stupid idea then. Cheers for clarifying

Not necessarily, as it depends on what we do in the transfer market. If we sign a right winger that comes straight into the first team, we could weaken the squad for a year by sending him on loan, but with a view to Greenwood coming back stronger having played on loan as a cf for a year.

I don't really have any worries about him. I remember Giggs going through similar dips in form around the same age. It's going to happen at his age. He hasn't been used as much this season as he was the back end of last season, so hopefully he'll be pretty fresh for the run in
