Turning a corner

6 unbeaten 3 wins and 3 draws.

Hope we are genuinely turning the corner.

Defence appears to be sorted .

We need some of the journey men such Jack Colback to be back to optimal fitness. Clearly having not played last season is why he is not performing at the level he was at on his previous spell.

I think Colback and Sow will be our best defence mid-field pairing.

We need a creative midfielder who can link with Taylor and Grabban.

The football is not pretty and has not been for a while.

SL & AK and CH all seem to have a similar style 4.5.1 with emphasis on solid at the back and playing on the counter.

Billies Davies spells at the CG was when I last really enjoyed our football.

So it seems we might be over the hangover of last season.

I think Lolley needs to regain his confidence and his spirit , I think he probably suffered from the amount of emotional investment he put in and just could not come to terms with missing out at the end.

Hoping we get to mid-table safety to re-group over the summer and go again.

Hi Doha, a little late to the party but enjoyed your post. I agree that there are shoots of improvement in our game play.
We are definitely no longer set up to counter attack, indicating that the new Coach is installing his own brand of football,

With the prospective talent we have in the side it all just needs to click together. And I believe it will because I believe in Chris Hughton.

I think we have definitely turned the corner. When we were having a tough run of fixtures I said that we should be judged after the four relatively easier fixtures which followed defeat against Brentford. I suggested that six points from those four games would be a good haul considering where we were. Well we managed to get the six points and have won the two games following that. So all things considered I think we are in good shape (on the pitch).

As you say the defence looks to be sorted, but it is vital we hang on to Joe Worrall. Big question tomorrow is will Bong keep his place after a good display last week. I think McKenna will keep his place.

I'm not too bothered if we sign anybody in this window. We need a bit more pace and creativity for sure, but as confidence improves I think we will start to get a few more goals.

Three games before the next cup tie should bring us five points hopefully which I think would move us away from the relegation zone and into mid-table
